married to the mob November 18, 2010

Well…the cat is out of the bag. For those of you who are long time readers of this blog, you know that I’ve shied away from doing a lot of local Atlanta-based coverage. The main reason for that? Most of the folks who visit this blog are from outside of Atlanta. I’m a cooking blog – food and kitchen stories are universal. However, Scoutmob gave me an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. They’ve been so nice to me…and they’re one of my new favorite things about our city. Not only do they help us in the A score some great deals all over town…but their team of in-the-know writers help keep us all informed about the best things happening right now. I’ve been given the chance to write about Atlanta – a town I really truly love – in a way that really works on this blog: featuring local ingredients, food purveyors, makers of yummy things, great dishes, amazing chefs and unique food experiences…and share it with all of you. These posts – every other week or so as Monday’s Local Bite – won’t just be your average restaurant review. I’ll be sharing great people & things that folks – from Atlanta to Australia – can appreciate. So…for those of you who have been part of the RWT family all this time, I hope you embrace these stories about my town and get excited to learn about what’s happening around here. For those of you who are new to this blog because of Scoutmob…WELCOME! I can’t wait to share *my* Atlanta with all of you.

P.S. To my friends in New York and San Francisco – are you Scoutmob-ing in your town? There are daily deals for you, too. Just check the main Scoutmob site and click on your respective city!

That’s exciting! I will watch for your mob posts. :) I do live in Atlanta and use the Scoutmob deals all the time – just last night at R. Thomas.

Sweeeeet. I’ve heard of and about you, fancy lady, for quite a while, and the Scoutmobbery finally pushed me over the edge–yay you! Your styling is GORGEOUS, and I am so excited to get some delicious recipes and scoop from someone who loves food as much as I do! Thanks!
