smiles, everyone, smiles! February 7, 2009

While I don't normally post on the weekends, I wanted to take a minute to say…

Thanks to the wonderful article by John Kessler in the AJC about Atlanta-based cooking blogs, I seem to have some new readers of Running With Tweezers. I want to say thanks for taking the time to visit the blog. I hope you all enjoy it, try the recipes, and take time to send feedback via comments or emails. Take the time to say hi and introduce yourselves! I like hearing from everyone. Also, thanks to the Decatur MetroBlog for picking up the story about your hometown blogger!

Included in the article with me are a few of my favorite local food peeps. Jennifer over at  The Blissful Glutton is the city's go to blog for restaurant info. Chris over at MeleCotte has a blog full of recipes to make your sweet tooth swoon. Relatively new to the Atlanta list is Betty from Troubles With Toast, a mixture of foodie info.

John Kessler includes a very thorough list of local food blogs at the end of the article. My friends Dirty from DirtySouthWine and Cathy from Live To Nibble also got shout-outs. Make sure you visit their blogs and share the Atlanta food blog love.

Keep your eyes peeled this week for an ENTIRE WEEK of soup recipes – something near and dear to my heart – which will culminate in a blog event announcement (with prizes for the winners!!!).

I found your blog from DecaturMetro, which I read every day… I’m very new to Decatur, so new I don’t even live there full time yet! I’m really enjoying the area and blogs like yours make me happy I decided to move there!
I sometimes post food photos on my blog, but they don’t look as yummy as yours.
Keep it up!!

I really just stop by RWT for those blue eyes and dimples. They make me smile.
