the saturday soup – some summer soup link love June 11, 2011

The soup bowls – and most other food receptacles – have been empty around our house for a week or two. Little in the way of cooking save for having some folks over for brunch and the occasional late night flatbread. Our almost-week in Austin and combined work schedules has me sorely missing my kitchen. Thankfully, there are plenty of great soup recipes being shared and I’ve been bookmarking them to make, as I usually do. Another week of photoshoots means I won’t be cooking a lot this week but these are in the queue to make soon. Enjoy the links as much as I have & I’ll be back to posting as soon as I can – let me know if you try any of the recipes I’ve got my eye on!

So funny. My plan was to come here for dinner ideas tomorrow – been craving a new soup and the weather has been downright cold here!

I’m honored to be included – hope you do give it a try and your own great twist!

can personally attest to the Creamy-Spicy Corn and Roasted Pepper Chowder – it was everything I had hoped for and more!

Wow! What a lovely list of soups. Heidi’s Green pea soup is certainly up on my list.

I just had a cold soup for dinner :-) which involves little or no cooking!

Thanks so much for including one of my soups, and for introducing me to so many other wonderful soups to try. Green is a recurring theme, I see — and nothing says Spring more than fresh, green soups.

Your soups and links to others’ recipes always make my mind start working. I could happily eat soup every day of the week, but don’t make it often enough. Thanks for the inspiration!

Ya know, I hardly ever think about soup in the summertime but you’ve certainly tempted my taste buds. What a great list!

Hi! I am absolutely in love with the bowls. Would you know if there’s anywhere online I can purchase similar ones? I am also going to try out some soup recipes soon as I love soup! Thanks!!

awesome! I have these same exact bowls…. in pink, green and blue…. loved the sets when I saw them. Used them for a shoot for one of my columns… Too cute for entertaining! And eating all kinds of deliciousness out of them!
